Feeding the world

Providing agriculture with the right fertilizers at the right time in the right place is essential for growing and sustaining the global food production.
Mineral fertilizers have been central to meet growth in global food demand since the 20^th century, and it is estimated that half the food we eat is produced thanks to mineral fertilizer. 
Feeding a growing global population will require more fertilizers if we want to avoid depletion of soil as well as maintaining our forests and nature.

We are proud to be a part of this supply chain where we each year are transporting around 2,5 million ton of fertilizer between European ports. This amounts to nearly 18% of the total volume of commodities that we are transporting each year.

We have a close cooperation and relationship with some of the largest fertilizer producers in Europe, and we are committed to do our part to supply the global population sustainable products.
