Vessels in the Wilson fleet are fully docked on average once every 2.5 years. A docking includes bottom inspection and upgrading of holds/tanks and machinery and takes on average approximately 20-25 days. Dockings are capitalized and depreciated over the period to the next class.

The major part of dry-dockings is carried out in the Baltic area.

Unforeseen offhire occurs in addition to the planned offhire which regular dockings and maintenance involve. Good maintenance ensures that this is kept to a minimum. In 2008, the unforeseen offhire accounted for an average of about 2.5 days per vessel.
